In 2021, linemen from Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation (STEMC) traveled to Louisiana to assist with power restoration following Hurricane Ida. This design commemorates the team’s deployment. For this shirt, I drew inspiration from the banana spiders the linemen encountered during their work in Louisiana. The back design features a bold spider with a lineman subtly integrated into the black-and-yellow pattern of its abdomen. I added the words “We Will Rebuild” as a nod to the strength of both spider webs and storm recovery efforts. A subtle hurricane outline overlays the shape of Louisiana, mimicking the threads of a web.
